THE BEGINNING

My interest in the breed began when we were looking for a family companion who needed minimal grooming after having spent 15 years with Poodles. When I discovered that the obedience class at our local YMCA was filled, I entered our new Lab puppy, Trumpet, in a show handling class thinking that it would be a good beginning while I waited for an opening in the next scheduled obedience class. From the first night, I was bitten by the show bug and ever since the early 80s, I've been studying, training, showing and raising Labrador Retrievers.

I can't imagine life without dogs.

Our History

We are happy to share some of the dogs of our past. Each of these dogs is a piece of the puzzle that honors our dogs of today.

These special dogs may be retired or passed on, but they are never forgotten. Some may have been born here in Pennsylvania and moved to Texas, some were born in Texas and moved here, but we love them all the same and are happy they graced our lives for a least a small part of it.

Other Friends

I hunted with the Huntingdon Valley Hunt Club and rode to numerous June Fete Horse Shows after hacking three miles to get there before we even got into the ring... sort of the '80's version of having to walk 5 miles to school without any shoes.
